The Preacher and the Rack

A long time ago, I was doing a Bible study and had everybody pass around an anonymous prayer request. I had a request to pray for someone's relative to be saved. Right after that, I had a dream and I saw this guy I knew witnessing to his father. He had his father stretched out on a rack and was whipping him while angrily preaching the gospel. I thought it was kind of funny and I told him about it. His face turned white because it was his prayer request. He'd been witnessing to his father in an unloving way by condemning and judging him, then expecting him to respond. Messiah did not come into the world to judge the world but to save it; salvation overcomes judgment. If you judge, the Bible says that you're going to be judged. So judge sin but not the lost. Instead, start praying and sharing the gospel with them in love. The person who wanted his father saved stopped judging his father. He started sharing the gospel with him in love, and he got saved! You are to do the same thing when you're dealing with the unsaved, because God did the same for you. rn
