The One Requirement Of The Apostle

After the fall of Judas, the apostles had the task of choosing the right man to replace him. They said, Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Yeshua, Jesus went in and out among us. Notice they didn't say, We have to find a man who can prophesy, heal, speak in tongues, perform miracles, teach, and who is the most gifted of men. No. The requirement was one simple thing - we need to choose one who was with the Lord from the beginning. That's it. No great gifts, talents, or abilities, just someone who was with the Lord. By that they are qualified to be an apostle. What is more important than your abilities, gifts, or deeds is you just being with the Lord. It is not necessary to pray eloquently or do great things, but to just be with Him. That's the most important. Don't do everything else and yet overlook the most important thing - be like the apostles - and be with the Lord!rn
