The Requirement Of Freedom

The Lord gives us freedom. And yet many of His people don't live lives characterized by freedom. Why? It's often because we avoid one of the most important keys to freedom - responsibility. You can't have freedom without taking responsibility. When you come to the Lord, you give up your sins, but not your responsibility. In fact, you can only get saved by taking responsibility - for your sins. Only then can you be freed of them. Slaves have no responsibility - and no freedom. So without responsibility, you're a slave to sin, and without the freedom Messiah wants to give you. Once the Lord set the Hebrews free, they stopped living as slaves and were given responsibility. Do you want to be free? Own up to your life, own up to your sins, your mistakes, your choices. Those who always blame others relinquish their choice. You are not a victim in Messiah - you are a victor. God has given you a choice. Live as one who's received it - and be free! rn
