In God's Word, Jerusalem is called, the beautiful. The rabbis said that of the ten measures of beauty bestowed on this world, nine were given to Jerusalem. But if you go to Jerusalem, you'll find it's pretty much a bunch of rocks with hardly any grass, flowers, rivers, trees, or lakes. But still, God's Word speaks of Jerusalem as the most beautiful place on earth. Why is that? When you're in love it doesn't matter what that person looks like. To you they're the most beautiful person in the world. So it is with your life. If you look at yourself, without God's grace, what do you see? A sinful wretch, ugliness. Remember Jerusalem the beautiful. In God's eyes it's the most beautiful place because of what Jerusalem means, the holiness of the place, and that's what God sees. And you are of Jerusalem. So, learn the mystery of Jerusalem the Beautiful. See your life through the eyes of God's love and grace and you'll have the power to turn your life into something wonderful, like a pile of rocks into Jerusalem, the Beautiful. rn
