The Passover: Yes, Take It Personally

There is a command given around Passover contained in an ancient book called the Hagaddah. It is based on the biblical account of Exodus, and says, "In every generation each individual is bound to regard himself as if he had gone personally forth from Egypt. And you shall relate to your child on that day saying, this is on account of what the Eternal did for me, when I went forth from Egypt." So, each individual in each generation is to celebrate Passover as if they just came out of Egypt. In the same way, Messiah died and rose on Passover as the Passover lamb. You need to take Messiah, Yeshua Jesus, personally - the cross personally as if you were there - as if He died for you - which He did. It's not just the Passover - it has to be your Passover. It's not just Yeshua - it has to be your Yeshua, your crucifixion, resurrection, and redemption. Paul wrote, "Messiah our Passover has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast..." For the Passover of Messiah is personal to you, today, every day, even to the end of the age!rn
