The Godly Fast-Track

Proverbs 16:17 tells us about the roadway of righteousness that leads from this earth to God. First, according to the Proverb, the road of righteousness is not an old country road. Neither is it a winding road. Rather, it's a highway. And it's created for the purpose of departing from evil. It's the fast-track to God's complete will for our lives, the fast track to God's joy, the fast track to God's peace, and the fast track to God's victory. Some believers think that repentance is a one-time thing, or for once in a while when they really mess up. But that's not Biblical. Our whole life should be lived in an attitude of true grace that leads to continued repentance. So, when you depart from evil on God's superhighway, do it quickly. Don't play around. Run from sin, get your spiritual wheels spinning as fast as they can. Get away immediately. Floor the pedal, because you don't leave sin on an old dirt road, you leave it in a hurry in the fast lane on the superhighway of the upright. rn
