Imagine a letter to Paul after applying for modern missionary service. "Dear Paul. We received your application and being honest, because of your weaknesses, we are surprised you've passed as a bona-fide missionary. You are afflicted with eye trouble. This is a handicap to effective ministry. We require 20/20 vision. How can a missionary do part time work? We hear you make tents on the side, something unacceptable. In a letter to the Church at Philippi, you wrote that only they support you. We wonder why? And you have a jail record? Two jail sentences, one in Caesarea and another at Rome? You signed a letter, 'Paul the aged'. Our new policy prohibits elderly recipients in ministry. Therefore, we must inform you, it doesn't appear you have a true calling as a missionary. Please stick with tent making. Foreign Missions Board." Paul wrote, "God chooses weak things to show His strength". Paul was physically weak, but God made him a spiritual Hercules. Have you been discouraged because of weakness? God qualifies the unqualifiable, turning weakness into strength. Go in Messiah's strength. Let Him turn your weakness into power.rn
