The Secret Of Sabbath Entering

If you know Orthodox Jews, then you know that every Friday, a few hours before sunset, they begin rushing around, going home early from work, doing last minute shopping and preparations, all before sundown. Why? It's the Shabbat, the Sabbath. For them, the Sabbath doesn't just come like other days of the week, it has to be prepared for - and it has to be entered. In Hebrews 4, it's said that God's people must labor to enter the Shabbat. For we who are in Messiah, the peace of the Shabbat is every day. But it doesn't just come to us. We must also enter it. You can have peace, joy, and blessings every day of your week. But don't expect them to just show up one day at your door. You must enter the Shabbath. Choose to enter into the presence of God, every day of your life. Spend time entering. Practice entering. Get good at entering. And you can dwell in the Shabbat every day of your life.
