Faith And Serpents

Did you know snakes have no sense of hearing? They have no ears. They can sense vibrations, though. In the spiritual realm, snakes represent the powers of darkness. Romans 10:17 says that faith is linked to hearing. Snakes have no ears to hear so it makes sense to say the enemy does not live by faith. The enemy attacks us in the realm of something he doesn't understand, the realm of faith. He wants you to doubt, doubt God's goodness, His faithfulness, His provisions for you. He says, like he did to Eve in the Garden and Messiah in the temptation, "Did God really say...?" And when you give in to doubt, then comes discouragement, anger, frustration, anxiety, and the propensity to sin. So how do you defeat the enemy? By faith, something he cannot understand or handle. Use the shield of faith. Raise it when arrows of discouragement, anxiety, or doubt come your way. The shield of faith is composed of the Word of God. So, remember, the serpent is deaf. But you are not deaf. Use your advantages in God. Stand by faith and crush the serpent underfoot.rn
