In Hebrew, Shannah means year. It's also the root of the word second - as in the second time or the repeat of the year before. We often live our lives that way, in the Shannah that is the repeat - repeating the same mistakes, doing the things we know we shouldn't, and not making the changes we know we should. It's just a Shannah - a repetition of what went before. But the word Shannah can also mean something very different: "new" or "second chance." In that case, each year is given to you as an opportunity for a new beginning to not make the same mistakes - but to make the changes we know we should. It's up to you to choose which one this year will be, a repeat or a second chance for something new. God wants this coming Shannah to be something new and different. He's giving it to you as something brand-new, the chance to change, to overcome, and be victorious where you were not before. Choose which Shannah this year will be for you. Rise up in courage that it not be a repeat, but a year of change and victory! rn
