I have a friend who, in a foreign land, tried to speak the language of that land. One day in a restaurant, he was trying to order lunch. He tried to say, "I want some food." But it came out as, "I want a man." The waiter looked at him in shock. I have a different strategy which is better - I learn how to say, in whatever language, that I don't know how to say anything in that language. So the enemy is a speaker whose name, diabolos, or devil, means, "one who casts words against." He wants to engage you in his language as he did Adam and Eve, to use that dialogue to create temptation, self-pity, or carnality. It's important not to speak his language - not to get into a conversation but to disengage. When the enemy tries to engage you, and say, "Sorry, I don't speak that language, nor do I understand it. Keep your thoughts and communication pure in God and tell the enemy, "No comprendo!" rn
