Heavenly Palms

Of all the celebrations in the Bible, the Feast of Tabernacles points us toward Heaven. It's a picture of the kingdom to come. The Israelites were commanded to celebrate it with branches, including palms. The palm reminded the Israelites of their journey through the wilderness as palms grow in the valleys. They remembered that in the valleys of their journey that God was with them. In the Book of Revelation, people of every tribe and tongue are dressed in robes and holding palm branches. Just as they did in the Feast of Tabernacles. So just as the Hebrews in the Promised Land celebrated their wilderness journey, we in heaven will give thanks for our journey on earth; even for the valleys. So now in the valleys, give thanks to God. He's leading you closer to Heaven. Whatever you're going through, praise God. It's going to be used for His glory and for your blessing - a palm branch of praise on the streets of Heaven!rn
