The Place Of Nothing Else

Imagine the High Priest on that holiest day, Yom Kippur. The crowds are all around, and the priest are entering the Holy of Holies. When he enters, he sees pretty much nothing. The Ark of the Covenant is there, but nothing much else. The Holy of Holies was just a small place, made only for two, one man and one God. The most holy act of the most holy day in the most holy place happened in secret. Yet it was the most important thing - the forgiveness of their sin. The most holy moments of salvation happen in private. So the holiest moments in your life are not those things that happen in front of the crowd or the spotlight. They're not even about ministry. The holiest moments of your life happen in the secret place. It's where you and the Lord are alone together, in the most holy place. Today, take the time to be with God in a special way, just you and Him. For in that place of solitude and simplicity is the Holy of Holies - the secret place. rn
