Romans 1 The Power Of Thanks

Romans 1:21 shows us how powerful giving thanks is. It was because the ancient world did not give thanks to God that they fell away into depravity. Thanksgiving allows us to see the good of God. Without it, our hearts become darkened and life becomes debased. Ingratitude is to see neither good nor God. When you take good things for granted, and fail to see their source which is God, you become blind to them and to their source. The less you give thanks, the less you will see reasons to give thanks, and the less you'll have joy. The less you give thanks, the more empty and poor you become. The more you expect from this world, the more conflict you're going to have. Look at Messiah, our great example, for the Word tells us repeatedly that, "He looked up toward heaven and gave thanks."
