The Wrong Name God Gave You

In ministry, I sometimes forget people's names and I call them by the wrong name. It can be embarrassing. God has the same problem. He often calls people by the wrong name as well. He calls Simon Peter, or Cephas a rock. Clearly, it's wrong. Simon was no rock. God calls an old man with a barren wife, Avraham, which means, the father of many. God calls many people in the Bible by the wrong name - even you. When you're struggling, He calls you victorious. So, too, you read that you're a royal priest, and holy. You say, "Lord, you have the wrong person." God is right even though He called you by the wrong name. In Him you are royal. So, too, we should all have the same problem. We need to call people by the wrong name, names that don't fit their present reality. Speak in faith and see them as what God wants them to be. The failing disciple becomes the victorious Apostle, and the barren becomes fruitful. Learn the secret of speaking and receiving the wrong name and in God it will become the right name.rn
