In our minds, first comes the day, then comes the night. However in the creation account in Genesis, God created the night first, and then the day. This mystery of creation is reenacted every Hebrew holy day. Passover, Yom Kippur, the Feast of Trumpets, and the Sabbath all begin at sundown or night - the night before the day. Why does the Hebrew day begin at night? It is because it holds the secret and pattern of salvation. Salvation begins with night, our lives in spiritual darkness, without God. Then comes the daytime, the sunrise, when Messiah enters our lives. It's like waking up with the sun breaking through and dispelling the darkness of night. Messiah is even called the sunrise. Let go of the night and move toward the light of God, the light of His love, His Word, and His truth. It is the way of creation, of salvation, and of life. There was night and then there was morning... your life in God.rn
