The fast-food industry has one goal - to get you to eat. The problem is that our bodies naturally crave food high in fat, salt, and sugar. So fast-food companies fill their food with all three. You eat it and love it even though its unhealthy for you. What does fast-food have to do with the Lord? Our fast-food culture works to create a fast-paced Christianity. One that seeks to make you feel good while requiring little time, sacrifice, repentance, submission, or commitment. But the way of the Cross is the opposite of fast-food like Christianity. It may not feel good all the time, but because it's real, it leaves you blessed. The Word is called bread, not nachos or onion rings. The Word is not fast food, it's bread. Choose what's right over what feels good. Choose the way of Messiah, the way of the cross, and dying to self which results in being full of joy of the Lord. Everything else is just an order of fries.rn
