By itself, a musical instrument has no purpose. Without a skilled musician to play it, it has no function. A violin may look elegant but without a violinist to bow its strings it will only collect dust. Likewise, a trumpet without a trumpeter is just a mass of metal, unable to make a sound. But give the instrument to a master and everything changes. The flutist blows breath through the flute and the purpose of the flute is fulfilled. The drummer bangs the drum and the drum's purpose is accomplished. But an instrument can only fulfill its purpose by being handled by a master. So it is with you. You were created by God to be an instrument for His purposes and glory . So you can never give yourself meaning or purpose or fulfill yourself by yourself - no more than a violin can bow itself. But give yourself to the Master and let Him use you, and see your life change. Then your purpose will be fulfilled. So let Him blow His breath through your being. Become a vessel filled with the melody and the symphony of the Master's love.rn
