Defeated No More

Many so-called believers have an attitude of defeat that manifests itself in different ways. They always look for the worst, believe the worst outcome, and fear the worst problem. But these are not the attitudes of the children of God. Yes, the world is full of evil, but as believers evil is not our focus. And we are not on the losing side. David looked defeated in the face of Goliath. The Hebrews looked defeated in the face of Pharaoh. The disciples looked defeated in the face of the crucifixion. But David slew Goliath, the Israelites left Egypt, and the disciples overcame the world. In God, you are not on the losing side - you are victorious. And so you are not to live on the defense - but on the offense. You are not the victim of the earth - you are the salt of the earth. Get out your slingshot and run toward that giant for God called you not to be overcome by the world and its evil but to overcome evil and the world with GOOD.
