How can you tell which people are tourists? They're usually gawking and awestruck by the things we take for granted. I live near the Statue of Liberty and see tourists in awe of Lady Liberty. They simply have to go there. But ask people in New York City what they think of the Statue of Liberty and chances are they've never been there. It's right around the corner and they take it for granted. First Peter tells us that we are "aliens and strangers" in this world which means, as Christians, we're in this world but not of it. We're from another world, heaven, so this world is not your home. You're a tourist here so start acting more like tourists and take nothing for granted. Give thanks for everything because it's God's blessing, starting with life, the sunrise, sunset, flowers, friends, fellowship, all having to do with the time God has given you on earth. Get out your spiritual camera, your guidebook and start praising God for all the blessings you may have taken for granted. You my friend, are a tourist here on earth.
