Where You Are In The Bible

When I was a child, my parents bought me a children's book. It was called "Johnny Goes to Washington." It was a story about a boy named Johnny who goes to Washington, gets lost, and ends up meeting the president. "Johnny" is what my parents always called me. That's why they gave me the book. So, when I read it, I pictured myself walking around Washington and ending up at the White House with the president. That book contains a secret to reading the Bible. Put yourself into the Word. When you read John 3:16, read it like this, 'For God so loved (insert your name), that He gave His only begotten son, so that (insert your name) would believe in Him and not perish..." When you read "We are more than conquerors through Messiah who loved us," read, "I (your name) am more than a conqueror through Messiah who loved me." The truth is, you're already in the Bible; these words were meant for you. You see, the Word will start really getting into your life when you start really getting your life into the Word.
