The Straight Measure of Your Life

A man was doing carpentry work using a measuring square and his young son was with him. "Why are you so careful to measure, Daddy?" asked his little boy. "Well, our measurements have to be just right," the father replied. "I suppose there are no measuring squares to live by," the boy said to which his father instantly replied, "Yes, there are and you'll find them in the Bible. Test all you do by them and you'll walk straight in life." The father was right; if you want to build something out of wood, you need a straight measure. That's true for life, also. You can't build a life without a straight edge, a measure to keep you straight. The measure of straightness is the Word of God. Plan and measure all you do by it. Test all you've done in your life according to it. Take the Word straight for what it is. Then get your life straight by lining it up with the Word of God. Do this and your life will be blessed and straight. That's the truth... pure and straight. rn
