How to Marry Off Your Problem

People spend much of their time dwelling on problems. But problems are great fuel for a powerful prayer life. Troubles, problems, and crises are great natural resources when you convert them into prayer. Don't just let your problems be problems - convert them. In Hebrew, one of the words for prayer or worship means, "to give in marriage," just as you would give a bride to a groom in marriage. So, one of the keys to worship and prayer is to marry your problems, sins, and worries to God. When your problem goes, as a father must let go of the bride, it's then married to God. Give-up your past, your shame, guilt, all of your secret things and walk them down the aisle to give to God. He came down to earth to be joined to all of your sins. Take your problems and convert them into prayer. Take your troubles and lead them down the aisle because your troubles and your problems were meant to be married to God and you were meant to be free.
