"Go to the ant, thou sluggard," (Prov. 6:6). Wisdom is learned from the ant and also from a similar insect, the bee. In Hebrew, bee is devorah or Deborah. Deborah was named after the bee. There's an expression that says, "Busy as a bee." You never see bees goofing off or leaving the hive to hang out at the bowling alley, they're always busy. Many believers are lazy when it comes to the things of God. When they could be busy like bees reading the Bible, diligent in prayer, or spreading the Gospel - they're not doing it. When it comes to the things of God, we are called to be diligent, always abounding in love and in the service of God. Messiah said, "I must be about My Father's business," Learn to be as wise as a bee. There is no blessing in being lazy about the things of God. Get busy with your prayer life, with the Word, with service and fulfilling God's purposes in your life. The Lord's sweet honey will flow when you're as busy as a bee.
