Your Fruit Goal

You're driving, you're late, and the person ahead of you is going incredibly slow. You say, "Come on, step on it! I have to get to service." And the teaching you're rushing to hear is Be Still and Know That I am God. How often do we miss the point? Dragging behind that slow driver, you're literally losing the fruit of the Spirit because you're rushing in the Lord. You might have a goal to do God's will but you're going about it the wrong way. Your ultimate goal isn't even to avoid being late for a service. If that's your goal - then your goal isn't the fruit of the Spirit. Instead, your goal should be to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and your neighbor as yourself. That's it. When you're behind that incredibly slow driver, it's okay, because nothing can stop you from your goal of loving, of being at peace, of being gentle, and Messiah-like. Make that your goal You'll arrive at service happy and blessed, instead. You'll please the Lord, and you'll end up attaining the most important of goals. rn
