The Serpent's Camouflage

Snakes employ a strategy known as mimicry. It's a strategy of appearing like something they're not. Snakes blend into their surroundings while they lie in wait for their prey. The Bible speaks of the enemy as a serpent. The ways of the snake reveal the ways of the enemy. The enemy appeared as a friend to Adam and Eve. When Hitler started, he spoke of peace and prosperity in his speeches to Germany and to the world. The enemy even enters the church and seeks to spread hate and division in the name of Christianity. It's mimicry, the way of the snake. The enemy can tempt believers through an affair and will say, "It's of God" when, actually, it displeases God. If you are a believer, be aware of the ways of the enemy. Don't judge something by the way it looks but by the heart of it, by the Spirit and the fruit of it. Look behind the smile, look beyond the promise of pleasure, and you will find a snake waiting to attack your life. You will find death in the guise of the mimicry of the serpent.
