The Planted Tree and the Waters

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord. He will be like a tree planted by the water, always meditating upon His law" (Psalm 1). What does that mean? Who is blessed? The one who most trusts the Lord. The more you trust in God, the more rooted you become. Root your heart, your emotions, your thoughts, your desires, your plans, your identity, your well-being, and everything in the Word and truths of God. And what does a tree planted by the water do? It drinks of the waters that are deep in the ground. It's the same for you. You have to plant yourself. Thus, you have to make the decision to come into God's presence and stay there until the waters of His life flow into your life. The blessings of God are already there, in fact they're flowing like a stream. Your part is to drink from them. Plant yourself near that stream, put down deep roots, and draw them deep into your heart. And you will be blessed and not be moved. rn
