The Bread That Turns the Curse

In Genesis 3, the curse was pronounced over man: "By the sweat of your brow, you shall eat bread until you return to the earth." Two thousand years ago Messiah ate a Passover meal with His disciples. He had come to undo the curse of man by taking it away and bringing blessing instead. But, to take away the curse, He had to take it upon Himself and suffer the curse. And so, when we eat the bread in the Lord's Supper, we too are eating of the bread as decreed in the curse. But, that bread is also the bread of Messiah's death. It is a sign of what Messiah has given for you, a sign that your life is no longer under the curse of Adam but that in Messiah you are redeemed. Your life shall no more be called cursed but blessed. You are now blessed because Yeshua ate the bread, sweat, and gave His life so you would be set free from all curses and your life would be a blessing. rn
