Those of Your Steerage Class

Below the affluent cabins of the Titanic were basic rooms for the poor, known as steerage or third-class. When the Titanic was sinking, the ship's officers tried to keep the poorer passengers below deck. This happened because of walls in their hearts against the poor. You may be doing the same thing. We have walls against people we find undesirable because of unforgiveness or bitterness. And because of these walls, we end up not sharing the Gospel with those we should. But then we're letting people perish, making us no better than the officers on the Titanic; They were only letting the poor sink in the water, but we're letting people sink into hell! We have one life and it is too short and the stakes are too high to put up walls or to live within the walls that other people have put up. Break down those walls and open the doors and gates. Share the Gospel. Bless those people you haven't, the unlovely, the unloving, and the unloveable, because Messiah also died for the people in your steerage compartment. rn
