The Miracle Of Beta Yisrael

There has long lived in Africa a people known as the Falashas who keep Biblical traditions and call themselves Beta Yisrael or the House of Israel. It appears that the Falashas are descendants of Jewish people who came to Africa in ancient times. In the 1970's and 80's they were in danger of extinction. In an amazing feat, Israel sent airplanes in and told the Falashas to get ready. They airlifted thousands of them in Operation Moses and Operation Solomon. After 2000 years, they were back and in the land of Israel. In the same way, it doesn't matter how far off or removed you've been from the Lord or His people. It doesn't matter what situation you're in right now, how far you've strayed or how deep the pit you've gotten into. All you need to do is call upon the Lord and you'll be saved. The Falashas were cut off for two thousand years. But now they're back in the Promised Land. In the same way, never feel that you're beyond the reach of God's love. For the distance between you and God is only one call away.
