Ants And Believers

Have you ever seen a lazy ant? Or an ant goofing off, or with a bad attitude, refusing to help out? No. You'll never see an ant goofing off or slacking off. Ants are not like that. Ants aren't lazy. They're always active. They're always helping out. And so, it is written in Proverbs 6, "Go to the ant, you sluggard, and consider its ways." Laziness is not holy. In the Lord, you are called to live an active life. It is written that He died to redeem a people zealous for good works. If ants are zealous and active for things that are just ant business, how much more zealous and active should you be over that which is God's business! Don't be lazy about your prayer life, careless about your time in the Lord, apathetic about your helping out and ministering in God's kingdom and reckless with regard to sin and holiness. Start acting a little less like a modern-day believer and a little bit more like an ant. For an inactive, apathetic, uninvolved believer is as ridiculous as a lazy ant.
