The Perfect Through The Mess

A Jewish teenager, growing up in a traditional home finds herself pregnant and not married. In ancient Israel this warranted being stoned to death. The whole family and town would be scandalized. Meanwhile there's a government census going and so her fiance has to leave... or has to take her. This teenage woman was travelling with her husband via donkey in the rough of the outdoors to an obscure village. When they get there, she's ready to give birth. But there's no room. She has to give birth in the feeding trough of an animal habitat. That's the story of Messiah's birth, a bundle of messes. God used every mess to work it all together, even their scandal, their tax problems, the Roman government.... all to move a poor Jewish pregnant woman from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Nothing was out of God's control. And so, how much more is this true for your life? When you look at your situation or your life, it might seem like a mess. But in the end, you'll see that as you loved the Lord, and followed Him, all your messes were just the threads He used to weave together a quilt of perfection.
