During the Feast of Chanukah, the Jewish people light the menorah. Every night another light is lit. There are only eight days of Chanukah, but nine candles are on the menorah. What is the ninth candle? It's called the Shamash - the Servant. The Shamash is the candle that is lit first and every night. It then lights up every other candle. The Hebrew prophets called Messiah 'The Servant.' Messiah is The Shamash. He's the one who lights up everyone else. So it is written "He is the true light that gives light to every man." He said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will have the light of life." So, not only is Jesus/Yeshua the light of the world, He is The Shamash - the light that touches you, ignites you, changes you and lights up your life. Let him touch you and your life is guaranteed to become a shining light. Let 'The Light' light you up. Arise & Shine! For your Light has come - for Messiah is The Shamash.
