Jerusalem and the Shores of Normandy

Israel is the center of world controversy. The world never stops focusing on this little land, the size of New Jersey. The issue of Jewish people in that land, and in the city of Jerusalem remains the source of global tension. Why is that? In WWII the Nazis controlled Europe. When the allied nations vowed to liberate the continent, they had a big problem. They had no beachhead on which to land and liberate Europe. But on D-Day, they found it - the shores of Normandy. After a great battle they successfully established a base - a beachhead the place from which they could load all their arms, weaponry, and soldiers. Why is there so much conflict over the nation of Israel? Because Israel is God's beachhead. The place from which the Kingdom will come. He landed there 2,000 years ago and He will land there again. God penetrates this world through Israel. So pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for the Jewish people and for their land. The battle concerning it is fierce because it's nothing less than Messiah's beachhead.
