As in the Song of Solomon, when the Bridegroom approaches the Bride, He says, "Arise my love, my beautiful one and come away." The Hebrew word for arise is cumi. In Mark 5, the Messiah spoke the same words to the little girl who had died. Her father pleaded with Messiah to heal her. Despite the laughs from the people, Messiah said, "Talita cumi," or "Talita cum," which means "little girl, rise!" and she rose from the dead. The Lord loves the word, cumi. It's His word to you! God's will for you is not for you to fail, trip up, fall, stay down, be depressed, or bound in guilt and regret. His will for you is to cumi - to rise up! Arise from your stumbling, from your failures, from your sins, from your past, from your wounds. Arise from your fears, your depression, and from that bondage. Arise from everything that would hold you down. He's not just sitting up there watching you struggle and judging you for it. He's on your side. He's cheering for you. And He's calling you with one word - "Cumi!" Arise!
