I grew up watching cartoons such as Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. Whenever they were hit in the head with a safe or a bomb, you would see them wearing halos, sprouting wings, playing harps, and ascending to heaven. A pig going to heaven is not exactly theologically correct - it's not even kosher. But there's truth in it. We associate heaven with death. But there's another secret here. You're supposed to be dwelling in the heavenly realms now. So how do you dwell in heaven now if you're still alive? You don't. You have to die to get to heaven - die to your old self, your old life. The one who dies is the one who gets wings of the Spirit. Only those who die can enter heaven. Don't wait for this life to end to be finished with this life. Finish it now.
