What Are You Doing on the Titanic?

Imagine you're on the Titanic. It's Sunday morning - the day of the ship's sinking and you know it in advance. People are eating and talking about things of no real significance. You want to wake them up and say, "Stop! Don't you know the ship is going to sink? Stop wasting your time and get ready so you don't perish!" You don't have to imagine it because you're already on the Titanic. This whole life is the Titanic. Everyone in this life will ultimately sink, die, and then comes judgment and eternity. Around you, people are getting lost in the details and distractions of this life and it's all sinking. If you were on the Titanic that Sunday morning and had the chance to save them, would you? Then what are you doing now? Is it any less wrong for you to not be sharing the Gospel with those perishing now, than to have withheld sharing what you knew on the Titanic? Tell them how to be saved. Share the Gospel, proclaim it, bring them in - for the Titanic is still floating...and you are on it.
