The Bluffing Snake

The Bible says that the enemy of your soul is a serpent. Therefore, by learning of serpents, you can discover important revelations on how to overcome the enemy. Serpents often use bluffs as a strategy to attack. The enemy uses the same tactic. He uses bluffs to try to intimidate you into inaction, passivity, discouragement, defeat, fear, gloom, and bondage. But evil is only a bluffing snake. Its power is not for eternity. Don't fall for his bluffs. If you do, you're letting him have ground that he has no authority to take. Don't go by the appearance of your circumstances. It's only a bluff. Don't go by that bad report. It's not the final word. Hold on to the Word of God no matter what you see. The enemy does not write the end of the story. Therefore, do not be intimidated by that fear, gloom, setback or problem. They're all going to pass away. God's Word is going to stand for eternity. The enemy's best effort is nothing more than a serpent's bluff.
