Hugging the Auschwitz Guard

I knew a Jewish woman who as a child was taken to the concentration camp at Auschwitz. She endured unmentionable horrors that left her with deep bitterness. She came to America, married and had a daughter who came to know Yeshua, Jesus, as her Messiah and the woman was outraged. However, she herself ended up surrendering and receiving the Lord. But she continued to hold on to the bitterness in her heart. One day, she was asked to speak at a Christian gathering at Nuremburg, Germany. After her speech, a man approached her and revealed to her that he had been a Nazi. In fact, he was a guard at Auschwitz where she was imprisoned. But he had now found the Lord. He asked for her forgiveness. She wanted to pull away, but the Holy Spirit touched her heart. She opened her mouth and said, "I forgive you." The two of them embraced and the curse was broken. That's the power of Messiah Jesus. It's a gift - to be forgiven and to forgive. Whatever you need to forgive someone of, just do it! And let the curse be broken!
