Tuning Out the Enemy

Have you ever experienced someone talking to you but you had no idea what they were saying because you weren't really listening? Your brain switched over to automatic pilot. You nod your head as if to agree but you have no idea what they're saying. It's not polite but it's a powerful practice when applied to the spiritual realm. The enemy talks a lot . . . But, you don't have to listen! You have the power to tune out the voices of temptation, doubt, and fear. The enemy has nothing good to tell you, so stop paying attention. In order to hear God's voice, you have to tune out that other voice. The first problem came when man listened to the one whom he should have tuned out. The greatest command God gave to Israel was, "Hear O Israel, listen." But that also means not listening to what is not of God. So start tuning in to the voice of God and tuning out that other voice. And you'll be blessed... because in all the years since the start, he's never had one good thing to say.
