The Joylessness Of The Sinful

The Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, Communist Radicals, prostitutes, thieves, murderers, drug dealers, and alcoholics are just a few types of sinful, evil or Godless people or actions. What do they all have in common beyond sin? None of them are joyful. You don't associate joy with such people or behaviors. There might be some thrills or a moment of pleasure, but in the end, there's no joy. This confirms the Word of God - sin and joy don't go together. Joy goes withrnrighteousness and God's will. The fruit of the Spirit is joy. Joy is the consequence of righteousness. In Hebrew, the word asher is rooted in the word straight or right. It also means joyful and blessed. The way of the righteousness, is the road that is straight, which leads to joy. In the end, righteousness fills you with joy. A life of sin is a life of misery. Put away that sin and take up the mantle of a life of righteousness. It's good for you and you'll be happy you did.
