The Golden Cherubim Of Yom Kippur

On Yom Kippur, the High Priest entered the Holy Place and sprinkled the blood of the sacrifice on the mercy seat between the wings of the golden cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant. Why? The mystery goes back to Eden. When man fell he was expelled from Eden. The cherubim were stationed at its entrance to prevent him from coming back. Man was separated from paradise and the presence of God because he sinned. So, on Yom Kippur, the High Priest sprinkled the blood between the cherubim because they represented the barrier. But the blood overcame the barrier. The Yom Kippur sacrifice is a shadow of Messiah's sacrifice. The blood of Messiah is so powerful that it overcomes the power of the cherubim. It breaks open the barrier that separates us from paradise and the presence of God. Through Messiah's blood there's nothing that can separate you from the presence of God. The blood of Messiah is the power of breaking through all separations. So whatever your problem, apply His blood. For the blood of Messiah overcomes even the cherubim.
