On Yom Kippur, the Great Veil of the Temple was, in a sense, removed from the path of the High Priest. The removing of the veil is also part of the Hebrew wedding. On the day of the wedding, the bridegroom would come to the house of the bride to take her to her new home. The bride would then approach the groom with a veil over her face, but when she met Him she would remove it and the two would stand there face to face. And that's what Yom Kippur is about. God and us, the Bridegroom and the bride, standing face to face. That's what salvation is all about. God has removed His veil. He's revealed Himself. But in order to be blessed, you, the Bride, must remove the veil that covers you. So you must let Him see the real you, with real wounds, real scars, real blemishes, and real sins. It says He will present His Bride without blemish or spot. So, remove your veil and you will see Him face to face. And you'll be healed by the shining of His face upon you.

Today, come before God unveiled. Hide nothing. Bring it all to Him, the hurts, the wounds, the secrets, the shame, the fears and weaknesses you've covered up and let Him touch them.
