In Hebrew, the word Bethlehem comes from two words, beth or beit and lechem. Beit means house and lechem means bread. So, Bethlehem means The House of Bread. It's a place where the bread is housed and given. It's God's bread, the Bread of Life and it's what you hunger for and need more than anything else in life. It sustains you and gives you life. If what you needed most was money, then that's what would have been given in Bethlehem, but it wasn't. If what's needed is human love, or marriage, then that would have been given in Bethlehem. But what was given in Bethlehem was Him. He is the Bread of Life - the bread of your life. Yeshua, Jesus is the Bread of Life - the answer to your hunger. He is the fulfillment of your greatest need. So bring all your needs to Him. He is what was given at Bethlehem, the House of Bread. He is for real, the real bread of your life.
