Using The Gods For God's Glory

Paul and Barnabas were preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles and the multitude began going crazy, mistaking Paul for the god, Hermes or Mercury and Barnabas for the god, Zeus or Jupiter. Paul said, "Men, why are you doing these things. We preach the Gospel to you so you should turn from these things to the living God who made the whole world." Paul used a terrible situation to further the Gospel. He used everything, even an issue of pagan gods to exalt the one true God. Paul never forgot that his true purpose in every situation was to glorify God. When that is your purpose, you don't have any problems - only opportunities to glorify the Lord. In every conflict and situation, there will always be a way to glorify Him. Therefore, don't panic, don't fear, don't lose your peace. It's not really a problem - it's just an opportunity for you to turn it around for God's glory. When you do that, the problem will be transformed into a vessel of honor for the Lord.
