The Mountain Resurrection

Messiah rose from the dead 2,000 years ago. But where was His tomb? It was on a mountain - Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. So the resurrection took place on a mountain. The power of the resurrection went through the disciples, from Jerusalem to Israel, to Judea, to the world. But for the resurrection to go forth in the first place, it had to go down the mountain of Jerusalem. The power of the resurrection isn't just something for mountaintops, for times of worship, contained in the four walls of your sanctuary - you have to bring it down into the valleys, to the low places, to those places where people don't know God. If you want to really see the power of the resurrection, start with your own life. Take the light of God into the least holy places in your life, those habits, indulgences, attitudes and unchanged emotions. Bring it down the mountain to the unholy and unsaved, to unbelievers, to the sick and needy. The resurrection took place on a holy mountain for this reason - that you might take it down into real life. rn
