Most believers could learn a lot from nonbelievers, and from the really sinful ones. When God called Jonah, he arose and fled. After the troubles God brought him through, He called Jonah again. This time it says, "He arose and went." In the same eagerness with which he rebelled, he then obeyed. So in the same way, we are to serve God as we once served sin. No one had to force us to sin, we just sinned and we looked forward to it. We rejoiced wholeheartedly in what we should not have rejoiced in. How much more should we now rejoice in what we should be rejoicing in. We are to show the world what true joy is and what it means to celebrate - not to be filled with wine - but with the Holy Spirit. We once sinned with excellence, so now it's time to serve the Lord with excellence, zeal, joy, delight, and all the gusto and strength we can. For we alone have something real to party about.rn
