The Scripture on the Mountaintop

Ancient Israel fought its last battle with Rome on the desert fortress mountaintop of Masada. Masada became the grave of ancient Israel. But the Word of God prophesied that in the end-times, God would gather the Jewish people back to the land. It all came true. The newborn nation of Israel decided to excavate its ancient grave. And there, in the dust, a parchment was uncovered with a scripture. It was a prophecy from Ezekiel 37. It said, "Thus says the Lord God, behold I will open your graves and cause you to come out of your graves. My people and I will bring you into the land of Israel and you will know that I am the Lord when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves..." The long-hidden, long-waiting prophecy was an awesome demonstration of God's hand - a sign and witness that God never forgets His promises, His purposes, or His plan. They may lie hidden for a time - but they're still there - waiting to be uncovered when you return to the center of His will. rn
