The Imaginary Barley Sheaves

The Lord commanded Israel to celebrate their harvest. That involved counting the omers or barley sheaves each year in the springtime. For two thousand years the Jewish people were scattered having no land to harvest. Though they had no harvest, they were still commanded to celebrate it and count the omers. And so they did, every year, with no harvest. Then God brought them back to the land of Israel. What they had been counting all those years in faith, now was manifested. God's people have to count their blessings. His Word says to give thanks in all things, but it goes even deeper than that. It's not enough to just count your blessings. If you belong to God, you need to learn the secret of counting your blessings by faith, before they happen. Rejoice in answered prayer before it's answered. Rejoice in the victory before you see it, and breakthrough before it happens. Learn the secret of giving thanks for the non-existent, imaginary omers of your life, because when you give thanks for blessings that don't exist, you'll end up having blessings to give thanks for.
