The Dumb Warden

The Sante Prison in France, built in 1867, was considered nearly impossible to break out of. It was so well-guarded that in sixty years, only six prisoners managed to escape. But in 1927, Leon Daudet made his break by simply walking out the front gate. How did he do that? It was simple. One of Daudet's friends telephoned the warden and told him that Daudet had been pardoned. The warden believed the man and so released Daudet. Only later did he realize that he was an unwitting accomplice in Daudet's prison break. What do we learn? It's not so much how strong you are, it's what you believe. A strong prison with a warden who believes anything is a weak prison. A strong man who believes he's a weak man will cease to be strong. So if you're born again, the enemy will tell you a multitude of lies "You're weak," "You're bound to your sins," You can never break free." You can't live a life of victory, joy, peace, and fulfillment if you start disbelieving the enemy's lies. Overcome them. And break out of that prison!
